Australian Bandogge
In old English, a bandog was a guard dog kept chained by day and loose at night, not a breed. In Australia the name is used for a strain developed as a guard and companion dog from crosses including the Pit Bull and the Neapolitan Mastiff, which shows in its appearance. Specialist breeders exist in Australia, but the Australian, Finnish, English, and US kennel clubs do not classify it as a breed. It is fairly powerfully built.
