Antebellum Bulldog

A breed from the United States, also called the Altamaha Plantation Dog, developed in the Altamaha River valley of southeastern Georgia. It is fairly rare, with probably only about 100 dogs; the breed registry is kept by the Animal Research Foundation in Quinlan, Texas. Its head is larger and sturdier than that of other bulldogs, though it is clearly a bulldog type.
